  • The focus of my art is on the philosophical concept of Image in art, as well as change, transformation, and the phenomenon of time.
  • This applies to more than 10 years of research of color as a stand-alone medium in an abstract approach, in the gradual splitting, and dissolving of the "solid" academic form into pure vibration of the paintings.
  • Life is deeply mutable. Only death is constant. I observe it clearly. In order to be truthful to life, I change my styles, mediums, and topics, too. Though, my main medium is still painting.

New big group show in Kyiv - “Concentration of w New big group show in Kyiv - “Concentration of will” at @m17art.center My diptych Eyewitness of the ground from Flowers or explosions series, 2023. 🌸💥🌺 The full-scale invasion of russia on the territory of Ukraine took away the spring from all Ukrainians. We did not feel it, did not enjoy it, and did not celebrate the birth of a new life, the first flowers and warming. It was general stress, grief, and a lot of work (volunteering, writing, speaking about, moving to safer places, and organizing lives from the beginning). It wasn't until summer came and I saw my beloved peonies in bloom that I felt revived and wanted to create art further between the feeling of life and death. I enjoyed my favorite flowers, and the very idea of a flower formally, as a sign, reminds me of the explosions that I was very close to at the end of February 2022. From one point to the periphery, as an expansion. Later, I learned that there are even cannons called Peonies. These explosions are still happening all over Ukraine because russian missiles are bombing our civilian targets, we are still fighting and defending our lives, our land and our homes. And the flowers continue to bloom, no matter what. We continue to witness what is happening and gather funds for our friends on the front. I use a wide range of materials for this series, including napkins, that my grandma has done (she was good at this kind of applied art) to honor her memory. Flower ornament is something very deep in our folk culture, and I want to be closer to the roots. #flowersorexplosions
